I suspect that McClaren would only come if he was told that he’d be given money to spend. He’d end up spending a load of money, and it might not work out for us, he’d get the sack and then we’re screwed.
We’ve seen this with a previous appointment - Roy Keane. He was a known figure in the footballing world, so Evans believes that he can be trusted with a load of money.
That’s what I fear. It could be the opposite, he could play inspiring football shooting us right up the table, and this is what I hope for, of course. |  |

Jewel was *merely* incompetent. Keane was wilfully destructive and somehow managed to fool press, fans and ITFC management that he was something else. He should have been sacked by September 2009, but somehow clung on until 2011. [Post edited 26 Mar 2018 0:24]
