End of the day, we have zero idea how this project is going to go.
To the people who say we ALL wanted change - I didn't until Mick made his job untenable. Did a cracking job on naff all ££££ - never properly backed. Sure, I hated the football but it was a means to an end. You cannot play quality stuff in any league with a low budget as good players at any level generally cost more £££ - and you need a team of them. No point trying to play like Barca with only 2 / 3 / 4 players playing that way.
That said - when it was announced Mick was going - I wanted either Hurst or Clark off Bristol Rovers. I live in Bristol and a massive fan of the job Clark's done. Hurst's record prior to us was utterly superb - and I was all for him being given a crack.
Rome wasn't built in a day - I think far too much has happened interms of quickness. Worried about us short-term and think we will be in a battle to get out of it this season really.
Depends on the loanees we sign.
I always feel a manager SHOULD be given three transfer windows though to see what they've got - so unless he has us in serious danger ala Jewell or has a start that ends up like Keane's - then he deserves this.

As for the topic in hand, yes people need to chill. We've played 4 matches FFS, this is a project and a big step change in how we're doing things. Back the manager and team and give it a few months. I'm already enjoying watching us again, although admittedly I would enjoy a win even more. |  |

It's result more than performance for me all day long.
Unless it's the Royle days when I could come out of a stadium losing 3-2 / 4-3 / I'm not interested in watching bang average crap and lose.

The worry is it has the makings of a Jewell or Keane start.
However I agree with you and he should be given time. Bolton stuck it out with Phil Parkinson, finished last season strongly now appear much stronger this. I am sure HFB would confirm the Bolton forum stunk the place out with the usual opinions etc.
Hursts record is worth persevering with as was Micks.
Hurts needs to pick some wins though to buy the time he needs.

I think most people thought it was time Mick and the club went their separate ways. as you said he couldnt really stay on. The relationship between him and the fans got too much.
However, maybe i was being naive, but i didnt think we would sell as many players as we have and even more so, i didnt realise we would replace them practically all with League 1 players. i just feel with have too many players stepping up.
Its hard because the some of the players and the manager are adapting to a higher level. Also, we dont seem to be losing badly, some might say we have been a bit unlucky.
If we dont beat Norwich, its going to be a long 2 weeks until the next game. Then if we dont win in a few games after the break, its going to be hard to know where to go. However I think Evans wont sack him and will want to give him time.
i would love an experienced championship striker to help these other strikers but i dont know where these players are! | | | |
