One of his better games that.
We look great when Bolton are nowhere near us. In space we can knock it about, but any sort of pressure and we go all shaky and spill the ball all over the place. We had half a dozen passages of play where defenders just gifted the ball away under no threat at all.
Some nice long balls over the top, but Ward went from looking quite threatening and lively cutting in to not having a clue where to go. All too often we don't give the man with the ball an option. Same again today. |  |

We couldn’t believe it either. Every shot he had was shocking. Most of his passing either was at their defenders or behind our players.

Agreed. Think Hurst is trying to push him into being the player we need but it's not happening yet.
But he's not there yet and looks to be struggling with form. If we can get Huws back and give Nolan a rest then we might see the best of him. |  |
