Ian Culverhouse 22:24 - Mar 3 with 2977 views | ITFCMonk | I happened to be at Wroxham FC in the FA Vase on Saturday whilst on holiday, another guy (probably Norwich fan) said Culverhouse was important as an assistant to Lambert. Could be something in that.

Theres something in some managers not being as good without certain personal. Clough was never as good without Taylor it does happen. I'm not saying that it's a fact but there might be something in it also. [Post edited 3 Mar 2020 22:33]

Norwich players always talk about how good Lambert was when he was there. I think he just had it then. He has lost it. Wouldn't want Culverhouse anyway

Unlikely given he sacked him at Villa. They had a big fall out, but I think there's a lot of truth in it, as Lambert's previous successes coincided with them working together. Lambert the PR machine and man manager, Culverhouse the tactician and implementer of ideas. This was very much the suggestion before the fall out, and the evidence since would suggest there's truth in it.

A Kings Lynn side that he could well be about to take into the Conference to be fair to him.

He's done well there with a decent chairman behind him. They have a club philosophy that players have bought into and they've got the locals on board. It's not hard really.

Not sure about that. I've played in it, it's a tough league and a few clubs that could argue they deserve to go up. There are some decent sized clubs in there.

This... Lambert threw Culverhouse under a bus. The big ego's at Villa wanted Culverhouse out.

I watch Conference North and NPL regularly and I think they've improved a lot over the past few years. Not saying we should rush out to get him in but he's had an impact there.

Sorry, I thought you were saying the opposite, that his achievements weren't hard. I agree, he's done a v. good job.
