I think he was making an innocent comment that he would like to think the people who have been stockpiling have enough to be getting on with.
I think he would be mistaken though. It's my belief that those who have stockpiled will be desperate to protect their pile and will be looking to live off takeaways as much as possible with the fear that those will too soon dry up and then they will need to rely on their own supplies.
Personally speaking, I wouldn't mind access to the odd takeaway though.
It might help if takeaways publicised their standards on the outside of their premises so we could at least feel we can buy with confidence. You know, their policies on safety etc. |  |

It's really important that firms offer information isn't it about the way they approach food prep anyway let alone with the current addition.

The best Thai restaurant in South West England (at the very least) continues to do takeaway on thursday friday and saturdays. They have a strict policy of (1) payment by phone so there is no contact; and (2) collection slots every 10 minutes, so customers do not mix in the premises at all.
Turn up, pick up your bag, go. They are doing it really well- and I will probably go again. Query though, if its a valid outing under the current guidelines. |  |
