I think Penelope Wilton would have been ideal for that role.

The casting is superb even for some of the smaller roles. Thought series 1 was better, I love the word c*** but thought it was overly relied on for laughs in s2.

I love Gervais in the office and afterlife but can't stand him in almost everything else

That word is overly used.

We watched the first series and was shocked by how much it was used (especially at that ginger kid..... haha)

Before we watched series 2 I reminded my wife that this has a lot of those words. Within about a minute of dialogue there were 3 of them.

Very good series. Someone told me its the only one Ricky Gervais is thinking about doing a 3rd series for.

The loveliest touch I think, was at the end when Penelope Wilton and Peter Egan shared that scene together.

Gonna sound well SNOWFLAKE here but I struggled with it as it was quite triggering. I don’t really want to watch a TV show that reflects large chunks of my life I’d rather forget about.

TWTD never forgets…

Derek is superb when you get into it. Wasn't quite as good without Karl Pilkington in the 2nd series IMO.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

Good shout Keno.

I wasn't familiar with it, but been bored out of my mind tonight and went looking for it.

A couple of episodes in and I like the pace. Entertaining so far.
