They could but two very tough games v Forest and away at Brentford who are playing for a Prem place. I forgot about Wigan's situation to be honest. And I thought a decision on Sheff Weds was going to be made this week?

Yes - if Wigan are deducted 12 points then Hull would stay up with a win in their last game, a Luton defeat and Wigan failing to win Which isn’t that unbelievable a scenario, but given that Hull have a Cardiff side needing a result to guarantee a playoff spot and Luton have a Blackburn side with nothing to play for, it’s a pretty big ask Obviously that is all moot if Wigan do not get deducted points - as usual i expect the EFL are bottling that one for now in the hope that it won’t matter (which again seems unlikely as Wigan would need to beat Fulham in their last game to be safe regardless) [Post edited 18 Jul 2020 17:12]

Fulham still have an outside chance of automatic promotion, although unlikely, and Wigan have that 12 point deduction hanging over their head. That should be a tasty affair! Come on the Latics.

Agreed it's unlikely. Not to sure about the bottling idea. Haven't they previously applied deductions to the following season if it would have made no difference in the current one? I think delaying makes any appeal less disruptive as clubs not knowing which division they will be in over the next 2 months as appeals occur would be unreasonable for all clubs affected.

Long was the keeper against Wigan and he was dropped, so not all on Pennington.

Barnsley look good even though they are bottom and know div 1 Wigan will have money even though they have gone for admin! They are also a good team. Luton now with their old manager looks good again! Another manager we could have gone for. Hull are in free fall. Boro Birmingham and Wednesday could face the chop! But div 1 won’t be easier than this season on paper!
