Jinx!

As well as all the technical qualities he showed yesterday, he just looks like a proper central defeder, big and scruffy. The last CD who looked more like one was Tony Mowbray.

The one who slipped for Sunderland’s first goal, involved in penalty for their second, who gave away a stupid free kick for pompey’s first goal and deflected in their second? That one? If I was Wilson I’d have handed in my transfer request already.

How nice of us to let him make mistakes with us before he fooks off back to his parent club, never again to wear a blue shirt.

He does seem to be overlooking that he's not ours.

I don't think he's anything special - if it was Chambers, Wilson or Nsiala making the same moves he is they'd be hauled over the coals. Fine for this level but little more.

As said above we've conceded four goals in two games and he's been at fault (albeit unfortunately in a couple of cases) for all of them.

Wow. You're blaming him for the handball in midweek and the deflected shot today trying to block it. Come on!

Then the first goal is surely more Cornell's fault, he should be saving that. it was hardly a rocket.

So I agree on one.

However, he played the ball through for the first goal if we're gonna be dishing out credit and blame.

Hes 19 with about 5 first team games. The other 3 are supposed to be experienced pros. I know Nsiala looks so naive he could be 17, but he's not.

Silly foul to give away the free kick for the first and then not close enough to his man for the second.

What grates is he’ll probably learn from his mistakes then go elsewhere. If he was actually our player I’d love seeing him play week in, week out and at least we’ll be benefiting from bringing him through in the long term. Maybe I’m being overly harsh; maybe I’m just tired of the rinse and repeat the club seems to be going through at the moment.

A slip.
A penalty that wasn’t a penalty.
And a deflection.

The only thing he can be criticised for there is the free kick he gave away. Agree with others, though he grew into the game yesterday and looks very assured for a 19 year old. Looking forward to seeing him play more this season.

still shows signs of being a bit raw, mistakes defensively, but my god he can spot a pass from CB that cuts through the team. he has more attacking intent in him than huws and sears put together!
shame norwood couldn't control a couple as they were lovely balls through

I suggest people watch his passes to our left back (whoever it is) since they always go behind him. This means he is facing his own goal and passes straight back. One of many reasons we spend too much time knocking the ball about less than 30 yds from our own goal.

Would rather we were playing our own players, but I guess Lambert knows what he is doing.
