Time to demand Cup seriousness 13:48 - Nov 17 with 1130 views

Bottom of all 92 clubs for the number of wins in the last 19 FA Cup and League Cup ties! Our last 50 cup matches - just 15 wins! Bottom of our EFL Trophy group. Out of all cups by mid November. Happy to pay Â£10k in fines this season for our last 2 EFL Trophy under strength teams. PL failing to respect competition rules. Its frikin piss poor all round by the Evans regime and we long suffering fans have to let them know it. Towns long standing good name in the game is being badly besmirched by them. Who's with me on this?

well Garv if you dont think blatantly flouting completion rules doesn't harm the clubs hard won reputation you are being very naive. What about next season if we fail to get promoted? The betting must be on the EFL ramping up the fines as we dont seem bothered by a paltry £5k a time. But my point isnt just regarding the Trophy. Our fans deserve much better in the cups. It is embarrassing & humiliating season after season.

To be honest, 'the manager picks bad teams' is something that's harming our rep across all competitions, not just the cup.

The Papa John's trophy deserves the contempt that us and a lot of clubs show towards it. It's a completely pointless competition that NOBODY cares about. Highlighted by the fact last year's final didn't even get played.

I agree on the FA Cup front.

I'd like us to take them more seriously. But then that's no guarantee we'd do any better based on how the last few years have gone.

I'd happily take a Papa Smurf's Trophy win now just to give us something to cheer.

Our reputation went down the pan (and has never recovered) since Sheepshanks put us into administration (just ask local businesses).
