I didn't have any breakfast 15:31 - Jan 31 with 1205 viewsGlasgowBlue

went out for a 15K run around lunchtime so skipped lunch and I'm not hungry.

Here's the thing. As soon as I have dinner, I probably won't stop snacking straight afterwards from 6.30 -10.

Just seems weird I can go 20 hours, obviously some of them asleep, without feeling the slightest bit peckish. But as soon as that first mouthful goes in at dinner time, I can't stop.

Anyone else like this?

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

I am like that.

....Just without the ‘not peckish’ bits.

If I am home, with nothing to do, I graze constantly.

Precisely the opposite - if I don't have breakfast soon after waking, get really bad tempered in quite short order.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Yep, totally like that.

However having read Dr Andrew Jenkinson's book 'Why We Eat Too Much' I have almost completely cut out sugar and refined carbs, increased omega-3 rich foods. The urge to snack has reduced massively and I have lost 8 kilos since September.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

I'm similar, I don't eat all that much during the day, despite exercising before lunch Monday-Friday. But once I've had dinner it feels like the flood gates have opened! I think this because during the day I'm occupied by work.

I'm now forcing myself to eat a bit more during the day, and I brush my teeth around 8.30 and that marks the end of the eating day.

Yeah I think it's the lack of evening activity that's a major cause. No walks to the pub whilst we are in lockdown. Utter nighttime boredom watching TV.

May throw some strong mouthwash down my throat later on as a deterrent to eating.

Exactly the same for me. Walking, not running bit - the knees won’t take that!

I am like this as well. At my last job I never used to eat until I left off at 5:30.

Didn't feel any negative effects of 'skipping' breakfast and lunch and having extra calories in the evening.

Truly impaired.

I’m similar. I have coffee/brioche or pain au chocolate at 10am and decent sized evening meal at 6pm and that’s it for most days of the week.
I’m a firm believer that a lot of sedentary people eat far too often.
