The Tier 2 risk group must be nearly all vaccinated. 21:26 - Feb 5 with 913 viewsMercian

My mum turned 70 in December, is fit and healthy and got her first jab today. She will be at the very bottom of that tier so things seem to be going well.

Excellent news. The more people they can get through as quickly as possible the better

My Mum rang me earlier and said that she had hers done yesterday - the Pfizer one. My Dad had the Oxford one 2 weeks ago and apart from "flashing lights" on the first night he was fine. Feel so pleased for them both!

Not sure it works like that, at least not strictly.

My mother received her first yesterday at 83 y/o, yet only 5 miles down the road her age group and below had theirs about 2-3 weeks ago.

Strange set-up there, Uttoxeter racecourse was (is?) being used yet when she called after receiving her invite, they tried to send her to Derby's stadium. The racecourse is a 5 mile, 10 minute straightforward down the road for her, whilst Derby Stadium is 18 miles and half hour away.

Anyways, they then sent her to her local doctors instead so all was well. But it did seem a bit of a mess.

There’s plenty of regional variation still I think but the picture in Suffolk seems to be good, both my parents had their first one this week and my Mum isn’t 70 yet. Hearing same from other people as this thread shows.

Yep my mother is 68 and is going to have hers on Tuesday (snow permitting) looks like Suffolk was slow off the mark but have certainly made up ground since.

I know of a mate who is 35 (and would come under the 6th priority group) who has hid his in Suffolk so they are getting through them.
