Just take a moment to see how badly Shambert got that 22:22 - Feb 9 with 2410 viewsBluefish

We were 1-1 at ht with a brand new style and a brand new formation. He decided to rip it up at half time though and couldn't have got it worse, we were 0/10 2nd half and he didn't do anything to stop it.

It really isn't that difficult but he has no ability to watch a game and see the problems.

They got the goal by bringing it out of defence because they were getting frustrated by our advantage in midfield defensively. From there they exploited our lack of wide cover but the bigger issue was how badly dealt with the cross Clarke Harris should not have been on the end of that unchallenged. It was routine centre half stuff.

We didn't need to rip it up and start again we just had to pin them back with 2 up top not letting them dribble out from the back. We put on Edwards, a player that struggles more than any to be in games and impose himself centrally. Sears would be a nuisance if Norwood was injured or drinan would be a handful trying to put himself about.

It also meant a lot sided formation Bishop was now right wing. An utter waste of his ability and left gaps. Parrott was alone and isolated and soon off wandering in search of the ball. We didn't get a foot on all half and it should have been far more.

Honestly he couldn't have got it much worse for in game management

"Edwards, a player that struggles more than any to be in games and impose himself..." - still our top scorer, you muppet.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

The thing that annoyed me (well, one of them) was going 1 up too at half time, after getting it right at the start, only to then go 2 up front towards the end when Sears came on. Ridiculous.

If you are going to change shape at half time, and you have 5 subs available, why not actually commit to it.

We were struggling down the flanks because our wide midfielders were Judge and Dozzell who aren't much help defensively. Our 2 best wingers with regards to a combination of defensive help alongside their attacking prowess are Freddie Sears and Gwion Edwards - both know the role and both support their full backs.

You could have bought Sears on for Bishop, and still had 3 subs for the second half, and actually be set up to play the formation properly.

But we half arse it, and we get worse with Bishop pretty hopeless on the right in an attacking and defensive manner, and only looked sharp when he was able to drift inside and get on the ball.

It's worrying when Stuart Taylor talks about the game, saying it was always going to be a back to front game, and they weren't able to play good football because of the conditions after they've just passed us off the park

It is a horror show of in game management. He was making changes that made us worse, like you say if we are going to change things then change it properly. We did it half arsed, he honestly doesn't back himself. A squad so big but one that he has no idea how to use. There will be 5 or 6 changes I expect for the weekend

I genuinely believe the break date is end of the season and he needs to be in the post until then or we have to pay in full

If the clause says at the end of the season we can sack him if we fail to go up we can't get rid of him before then because he will argue that it was out of his control

Would have thought an argument could be made to pay him up to the break clause given that's essentially the same as just keeping him on the books but on gardening leave until then. If not then just keep him on gardening leave and execute the break at the right time.

No way would the payment have to be the full contract term if there is a break clause.

But the break clause is triggered by an event, if he isn't in the post before then he can't determine the event so the break clause won't be valid and it will be a straight contract until the end

It would be a very poor contract if the clause was event driven only. I would think (hope) there would also be a time component.

This. I think Phil confirmed as much - Evans would have to pay up to the break clause whenever that is, but it's certainly not the whole 5 year contract and not dependent on events.

Keeping PL at t he club is doing untold damage to things now , but also for the future as we lose the goodwill of more fans day by day . It's like the club is in self destruct mode .

His decisions and tactics on the playing side are so wrong and now he is failing in the PR part of his job .

Failing to do the post match stuff is so disrespectful to everyone and Evans should not be accepting it . In any job , if your manager is failing to do his job , he has to go .

Then we have Taylor trying to convince us we deserved a draw , the whole management team are so deluded and it's all an insult to both the fans and the club itself .

What more does Evans need to see before he acts , the longer he puts off the inevitable , the more damage he does . There is no way back for Lambert .
