I'm in the market for a Vespa but will stick to a 125 - or preferably a 150 registered as a 125.
I saw a fantastic Vespa and sidecar combination on EBay recently, I thought my Mrs would look like Olive from On the Buses in it whilst I looked like The Ace but it was a bit too new - otherwise I would have got the mother.
I can't get anything newer than 1965 - I have a brain block about that. | |

That is undeniably a stylish vehicle, but I prefer something I can pedal as illustrated below.
If one were to break down when one had started a journey with a lady-friend on the pillion, for example, I would be able to finish it manually, whilst you no doubt would be pushing it home.

I must admit I prefer a Lambretta - but the fact that yours started so well after such a lay off is exactly why I will go Vespa. |
I imagined it started so well as p200 engine is sorta new compared to a 1965 scooter. Standard pre 1965 Vespa probably just as unreliable as similar aged lambretta. If you want lambretta of that age to use regularly you probably want one that's had a few modern alterations like electronic ignition etc |  | | |

That's cause it was the 80,s Lucan, all the lambrettas we're 20-30 years old (sx, Gp, li) while many of the Vespas would have been from the 70,s an 80,s.(Rally's, 150 supers, even new px,s etc). Mid 60,s Vespa gs etc very rare on 80,s rally | | | |

Just copy the picture address as long as it's a jpeg - I think.
Sometimes I struggle - I hap problems yesterday when trying to post a picture of a bar for Glasgow Glitter. I saved the image as a jpeg but it didn't post, in the end I just copied the image address direct from EBay.
