Back in the day we used to argue like feck. In later days I thought he was ok although he may very well have still thought I was a knob and fair play.
Reminds me of a Brickmakers Arms situation. I couldn't stand one of the drinkers and one night we had a big fall out, handbags everywhere!
We ended up very close friends.

Seem to remember him having some awful accidents while fettling them, but paradoxically, he often seemed happiest when doing the fettling.
