Potter to Everton by the looks of it 14:39 - Jun 8 with 1707 viewsElderGrizzly

Would be a good move for Everton and Potter, as he'd get a striker to finish all of the good build up play his teams do.

To think he was on our radar at one point.

Was that when Evans plumped for Hurst?

If you’re an Everton fan, that’s rather an underwhelming appointment for them if true.

More underwhelming than Moyes?

Time will tell, but from the managers they’ve had recently and they like to class themselves a big club, I wouldn’t say Potter would be most of their fans first choice.

After Ancelotti pretty much any manager is on a hiding to nothing with the squad. Several key players will want out I am sure, but with Potter hopefully they will become greater than the sum of their (inevitably denuded) parts.

I hope he does well and gets to see them into their new stadium.

I thought they’d go for Nino Espirito.
They were a counter attacking team under Ancelloti and Wolves were set up much the same way.
Would probably guarantee them some quality Portuguese talent as well.

He looks Palace bound, so he’s out of the equation.

Very strange move, if that happens.

Agreed.
Apart from swapping one team that can’t score for another, it’s a huge downgrade for a bloke who did a brilliant job at Wolves.
Palace aren’t going to give him much of a transfer wad either.

Although their £11m a season manager, with all the trophies and with their biggest ever budget just took them to 10th.
