I know T20 is a batters game but they couldn’t have made this easier for the batsman. It’s an absolute road of a wicket and the boundaries are like under 15s cricket.

Yes Pakistan have batted very well and England have bowled very poorly but I do think it’s probably a 190-200 par with the pitch in this condition.

Poll: Would you take a draw tonight if offered right now?

Agreed, it’s a flat track bully’s pitch.
Always more exciting if there’s a bit in it for the bowlers as well.
That said, a bit of moisture in the air around 9pm might make it tricky for England batting second.

precisely why there is noyhing that even remotely compares to test cricket.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

56 off 18 is back over 300!

And then keeps the strike back at 300.

And we still aren't halfway to the total yet!

As CoastalBlue said further up, it isn't really cricket. But it is still entertaining to watch.

100 off 42.

Well done!

And the team still need 50 from 21 without him.

I’ve just got back from the game. It was like a home game for Pakistan for much of it in terms of noise. England just lost wickets at the wrong time but boy, was it great to be back in a stadium watching sport!

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

It looked amazing.

The best thing about international cricket in this country is that you’re pretty much guaranteed excellent support for the tourists.

Atmosphere always electric.

The next best thing about cricket is that you can enjoy watching a great match, win, lose or tie.

Unless it's against Australia, then the result is everything.

Is it fair to say that Pakistan finally clicked into gear in the 3rd 50 over match, and so came into this one "hot", whereas England's first team bowlers had lost intensity and sharpness due to the Covid lay off?

T20 would is a much better spectacle if you make the pitch as big as possible. More athleticism needed from the fielders, batsmen needing to work out if they can run a three or whether to settle for two, more run-outs, and the sight of people with really good throwing arms zipping the ball in from the boundary, waist-high. And sixes which actually require a clean hit. It's a shame they push the boundaries in thirty yards at some of the big grounds.

i was at Trent Bridge last evening and what a wonderful time was had by all. Full house, exhilarating cricket, fastest ever hundred by an Englishman, plenty of beer on hand, and mixing with the oh so joyous Pakistanis. All the best of English sport......
Didn't get home until 1:45 because of A14 diversions, but what the heck, well worth it.
