Tom Daley with a bronze and in my novice opinion dived brilliantly, however I’m just amazed how good the Chinese divers are in all the different events, when they need to deliver a top dive they just do it. When the pressure is on they deliver, what do they do to make them so mentally tough? |  |

Yes, incredible. It doesn’t seem to matter whomever is representing them - man or woman/ young or old, they deliver. Anyone else I find I’m hoping they do it, even with Tom Daley. The Chinese you just know they aren’t going to fail, it’s mightily impressive. [Post edited 7 Aug 2021 9:22]

I remember when Daley won a bronze medal in 2012 he was jumping into the pool in celebration with his coaching staff yet the Chinese diver who won the silver medal was absolutely distraught he hadn't won. |  |

I had one bet on the diving this year. Guess which one? Yep.. the Chinese lads who got beat by Daley and the other lad.
But yes.. I agree. They’re excellent. The calmness when they need a big dive is so impressive. |  |

In the synchro they made one small error on one dive and that enabled us to win the gold, we were more or less flawless. That aside the Chinese divers have been ridiculous. |  |
