I’d be surprised as I’m not sure he fits the profile. With the exception of Aluko who is in a role where we have lots of options everyone we have signed has been with a 3 year deal. Mariappa strikes me as a touch too old. |  |

Honestly.. I’ve no idea. And to pretend i do would be the attention-seeking nonsense that irritates me as much as anyone.
All I was told (same source as the Norwood deal a couple years ago) is that Mariappa is the experienced centre back we’re bringing in. Obviously if he’s like Jacobs and only as a backup, I’m going to look stupid. But he’s definitely a big target at the very very least. | |

He has always impressed me when I’ve seen him for Watford (and I’ve seen us lose to them far too many times) and he seems just the kind of signing we’re going for. |  | | |
