Is it any different from playing San Marino though in the men’s game? It’s only men’s ability to run faster and shut down space that stops those games going the same way.
But in reality, a men’s 5-0 with 75% possession and a women’s 10-0 is probably about the same. |  |

1) it was miles more one sided - England had 58 shots! Latvia were utterly hopeless.
2) I don't see any benefit to games like England vs San Marino either. Its why I think the nations league is actually a decent idea. [Post edited 26 Oct 2021 21:45]

Isn't that inevitable given that the women's game is so variable in terms of level of development, with only a small number professionals, etc? Our women's tem has had wins of 9, 10, 11, etc, over the last year. Men's football used to be like that when it first started out before everyone got on the same level with resourcing. |  |
