Possibly my favourite part of that is the guy with arms outstretched in one of the boxes as Celina is about to roll it in.

I love that for the Bonne goal Celina ran straight towards Edwards to celebrate the assist, and I love that the subs got involved in the celebration as well, no sulking from Chaplin etc., they were straight over there to celebrate with the team!

Absolutely, everyone was smiling and involved last night, even the subs.
I think the squad is finding itself, the relationships being built on and off pitch.

I've had my reservations about Cook after initially being delighted we'd appointed him, I still have a few, but it looks like he is building something that will deliver. Perhaps I've been too impatient but have been shocked at how defensively poor we have been. Last night defensively we really stood up to what Wycombe threw at us, that was impressive as the goals.

I think come May we may look back at this result as the real turning point of the season...i really hope so.

Each statement win so far has made us feel we've addressed some of our issues, but then issues have resurfaced again not long after. However I am starting to feel more hopeful that incrementally those issues are being addressed. After the Donny win we collapsed under pressure at Accrington. Last night we stood up to pressure (first 15 mins aside) when holding on to a lead. After the Pompey win, we gifted points through poor defending at Cambridge and Plymouth. Last night we held a lead and were mostly defensively solid. That's not to say there won't be more blips but hopefully they will start to become fewer and further between.

I also think this is such a sh1thousery league that it will take time for players to get used to it, it's no coincidence Toto and JD have taken to it like a duck to water, where as others have taken thier time to adjust somewhat, think the Accy game was a reminder to a few that it's a vastly different standard to other divisions.

On the whole though, you can't ask for much more than beating a team who haven't lost at home since they were in the Championship, a real statement on many levels.

Yep, blips are fine it is when Accrington followed the same pattern as Cheltenham that questions occur. If we follow yesterday up with six or seven points from the next three then we are in a really good place but we have to do that first.

Point of order though, Portsmouth was after Cambridge.

This next run of games is key. Taken together 3 points from the first 2 is decent enough, the manner of those points being taken is what gives cause for real optimism. If we can sustain 2 points per game over this run it looks like a real corner turned and that we are likely to end up in the mix.

I lose track of when the games fall, so thank you for pointing that out. The Plymouth blip would have felt less of a blip if we already had more points on the board and if the goals conceded hadn't been so preventable but that's true of other blips we've had over the past 4-6 weeks too.
