Truly in a huge mess

Poll: Philogene Conundrum

Around £20 million owed to HMRC and £10 million to MSD mortgage on the ground, plus what ever Mel Morris is asking for the club, plus outstanding payments for player purchase and probably a few other debts as well. Derby are an expensive club to buy unless creditors start to write of any debts owed.

I thought he was buying Huddersfield?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

If Evans buys them I fear it’s proof he’s learned nothing from his time with us.

I really don't get what's in it for him. As you say you would've thought he would have learned from his time here.

Sad for the fans I know, but their owners have been wreck less , for decades. The club and its ushers deserve everything they get now.

He won’t be buying them unless the terms become significantly more favourable. Doubt anybody will.

He’ll buy the debt but still have to fund the operational costs of the club like he did here, and he couldn’t afford it. If Ashley were involved it would make more sense as he wouldn’t be relying entirely on his own resources.

Equally we’re going to run into problems with the pension fund should we start losing 10-15 million a year in this league, so we might not be wise to laugh at Derby just yet.

Plus 2 years of funding to be lodged with EFL.

You need £80m minimum to walk through the door for what will be a L1 club

Yes, agreed, sad for the majority of the fans, including a good friend of mine. The club a
Itself? You reap what you sow. For some years they’ve appeared to have a sense of entitlement that’s grated on me.
