The Police will not investigate 20th May party unless Sue Gray finds evidence 19:40 - Jan 13 with 856 views | ElderGrizzly | Errrr, isn’t that literally their job to do that? Not rely on a poor bloody civil servant to do their job for them? [Post edited 13 Jan 2022 19:41]

Anything else is clearly out of their remit. If the government is absolved of this, will they return the fines the other lockdown breachers had to pay or not? | |

The Police will not investigate 20th May party unless Sue Gray finds evidence on 19:47 - Jan 13 with 792 views | Herbivore | The pressure being piled on to Sue Gray is getting insane. Not only have Johnson and the cabinet essentially implied that his future as PM is resting on the outcome of her inquiry but now the police are saying that any criminal investigation is also dependent on her inquiry. That's really unfair, and in respect of the police it's totally arse about face, often inquiries can't happen - or are at least very limited in their scope - until police and criminal investigation and potential prosecutions have been concluded.
