It used to be Marcus Evans (if he felt the need for the role at all). the big difference now is that these appointments will be made by a collective that will involve some combination of O'Leary, Ashton, McKenna and Gamechanger representatives. There won't be any manager appointing someone because they know them. Personal contacts might enable someone to make a shortlist but appointments are being made on an ability to convince very astute people that the candidate is up to the job.

Ultimately (and I know your question was rhetorical/tongue-in-cheek) this is the major difference in how the club is run.
