"Assist" stat is misleading.. ... "Chances created", tells you more, imo.... Someone like Cellina, for instance , could have double the assists this season, based on chances he's created. I’d go further and say it’s rubbish. Aluko was quoted as having no assists because the pass at Gillingham (which Cruyff would have been proud of) apparently is not an assist.
