I'm not angry, just disappointed 18:10 - Apr 23 with 1166 views | Mullet | Don't think we learned a hell of a lot today. There's an argument 1-1 flattered us given Crewe seemed determined not to score more than once. When they did, it was again a decent enough strike we should never have let happen. Thought we'd see more kids either starting or coming on. The amount of booking racked up early in a game that had all the malice of a bloke muttering under his breath in traffic, might have put pay to that. McK seems to have persisted with Norwood, and although a couple in the away end seemed to have a real downer on him I think I'd still move him on (without the grudge they were carrying for him though). Piggott made some lovely touches and control, but it's just not happening for him. He comes good about 20 yards or 5 seconds off the goal threat. A blue shirt seems to weigh heavy on him this season. I suspect we keep him because of the contract he's on. KVY will likely move on, but if he's happy to be back up to Burns and allows us not to rely on the lovely-haired one then it might suit all parties. He just looks like he's lost a lot of what made him so dynamic when he signed. Give him a summer and who knows? But El Miz at RWB to replace him made me wonder if McKenna is looking to see how versatile he is. If he can play multiple positions and close out games for 10-15 mins too then he offers a lot too and makes KVY redundant. Celina seemed to make the first run into defenders for weeks and got chopped down. The free kick was pants. We know what he can do, seemed to me we should have looked at one of the kids, see also Bonne. I like Thompson as a prospect who can be developed, same as Bakinson. But only one of those really fits in the position we've played them in and it's not the Brentford lad. Crewe have one of the most unbalanced stadiums you'll ever see. A huge main stand, and three chicken runs. One for us, one closed. One for a few kids with a drum. They survive on attendances we can fit in the North stand and today 1/4 of them were Suffolk types. They'll be in League 2 next season which feels about right. We'll be in Div 3 again which feels deserved and little else. Can't wait to see how deep McKenna takes a scalpel to this squad. Season over for me as I'll not bother with Portman Rd next week. Small mercies.

I'm not angry, just disappointed on 18:21 - Apr 23 with 1092 views | BarcaBlue | I watched on ifollow so wouldn't have had the overview you did but I really didn't see any control from Pigott, certainly nothing I'd describe as lovely. Also thought KVY had a very decent first half, fading in the second where he looked leggy ( maybe no surprise after injury) I'd definitely keep KVY as back up for both flanks. I'd also do whatever is possible to move on Pigott. Whether it's the weight of the shirt or something else, he's had enough minutes now and I can't see why he should stay.

Yes. Apparently they supply most of the vans to the whole of the UK.

Ah he took a couple of balls from people like Bakinson and even Walton in the centre of the pitch that were great, one he reversed to Morsy. Which is half the problem, he was then miles off where he should be when the attack came in. The one he skied when in the box was funny had it not been so significant.

I'm not angry, just disappointed on 20:30 - Apr 23 with 778 views | unstableblue | Yes you’re right Crewe had 3 or 4 gilt edged moments in front of our goal and should have taken one. I’m not sure how much at fault we were for their goal… yes needed to press better, but it a worldly, as they say. I thought KVY was a highlight today, if a little rusty, and I’d like him to stay. We are very reliant on Burns and KVY is a good back-up… also I do wonder if Burns could play right side of a front 3 with KVY at wing back… opposition left backs would sh!t themselves. KVY was playing very high today. I thought Piggot had 4 or 5 very good touches today. But then 15 poor ones! Norwood and Bonne need to leave the club. Probably with Piggot. I thought El Miz showed a desire and energy we were missing, and he was playing right wing back. I’d have played him ahead of Bakinson.

Burns is always miles off when the attack comes, because he is so attack minded, McK even jokes about it. But there is better communication between Burns and Donacien. KVY could well be looked at for the left hand side to form a partnership with Edmundson.

Bakinson is one I can't make mind up on, brought in assumedly as backup / alternative to Evans but I think that's a position we'd look to strengthen in the Summer. So with Evan's and ElMiz I'm not sure Bakinson would be needed if we added another centre mid. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Genuinely think he'll be signed as a squad player with Evans and Morsy as the preferred two, but where that leaves Harper and El Miz, I don't know. El Miz possibly moved on?
