The old saying about football working in cycles 20:43 - Aug 31 with 1032 views | Asa | I'm finding that it doesn't just apply to success and failure but these days it seems to apply to how I view clubs, players and managers, having been fairly consistent with how I've viewed them over the long term. Maybe it's the relentless amount of football these days? I loved the Leicester story. But lately have found myself really disliking them. I never used to be a fan of Burnley particularly but actually started to respect what they were doing. Couldn't stand Newcastle but have warmed to them of late (in spite of Howe). Andy Holt was once exactly what I thought a Chairman engaging on Twitter should be! But the real change is Klopp. Absolute breath of fresh air when he arrived, made me like Liverpool, but goodness me he seems to moan and moan and moan and moan these days. However, the one real consistent seems to be plucky little Bournemouth. I'd be more than happy to see them relegated with a record low points tally. [Post edited 31 Aug 2022 20:48]

Does feel like something is missing for Liverpool at the moment. Thought they had cashed in at the right time on Mané but doesn't look that way now. Lots of injuries though. Wonder if they will make any desperate lunges before the window closes.

Also tiring of Coventry, respected them for a while for defying the odds. Fk em now, six games in and they’ve only just got a playable pitch? How are they not getting points docked for not fulfilling fixtures?

I think a three point deduction for each game they cannot fulfil would be about right. If a club suffers flooding or something beyond their control, no problems postponing it. But that isn’t the case in this instance.

Guardiola is the biggest child of all when they get knocked out of the CL or when things are going wrong.

Wasn't the issue with Coventry the landlords fault ie the Rugby team who Coventry City FC rent the stadium from I got the impression the landlords let the Commonwealth Games use their pitch for a fee of course but that decision wouldn't have been the Football club's Maybe I'm wrong and if I am ferk em- dock em points !!
