I thought Jackson at number 9 wasn't great, should have started with Ladapo followed by Gass.

Not sure about calm at times! But it's never going to be in games like that, they want it to be frantic, stop start, leave a foot in and make it a fight. And they will bully sides, they would've bullied us not too long ago but today we more than handled that and got the ball down when we could doo. Thought by and large we kept our discipline and as you say we kept to the plan and trusted the process. Chaplin gave us that bit of quality and movement when he came on, and got the deserved 3 points, don't think anyone could argue with that in the end given the dominance.
For those that were too quick to moan last week, I think Barnsley's result today makes our draw look better. However you cut it, 5 wins and 2 draws is a great start. 4 goals conceded in 7, absolute basis for any side with title aspirations.
Very good again Town, another tricky fixture ticked off. Full week off before Cambridge too, and a full 2 weeks before we need to travel again. Onwards and upwards. COYB. |  |

I think the key phrase is "matched Accrington in the battle". How often have we wilted in these situations over past seasons? Now we're happy to go toe to toe.
Three points were vital. Now we're playing 5th, 16th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd. Come 5pm on 1st October we could have a very good idea on what the season has in store for us but it looks very good so far. | |
