Another MP in trouble for sexual stuff on 12:15 - Oct 21 with 864 views | bournemouthblue | If he was Boris' mate, he would have kept him and changed the rules to try and save him Didn't he try a similar trick in another field, someone who was doing something fairly corrupt, can't remember the name but a fairly mainstream MP, something financial? People, genuinely want this man as PM (again)

Whatabouterry. How about condemning this bloke for his awful behaviour?

We have a bite, at what stage have I suggested I approve of this stuff? My point is, it's good to see him removed pretty quickly, anything like this is abhorrent and should be treated as such We genuinely have people wanting Boris back, a man who seems to have very little moral compass at all and who left in the first place because he didn't deal with someone like this because they were close to him They're your mate, is never an excuse to protect criminals [Post edited 21 Oct 2022 13:08]

Another MP in trouble for sexual stuff on 13:20 - Oct 21 with 731 views | Darth_Koont | There’s little to suggest that politics attracts or rewards particularly moral people. Although the vast majority of politicians aren’t sexual predators like this guy seems to be. However, there is a disturbingly high proportion of these cases, especially for people who aren’t just in the public eye but are supposedly public servants and meant to set and conform to high standards of behaviour.

Another MP in trouble for sexual stuff on 13:22 - Oct 21 with 725 views | Swansea_Blue | There must be something in the water at Westminster, as there seems to be a high prevalence of misdemeanors like this. It goes beyond sexual harassment too, as there seem to be more cases of hate crimes than you ever see in other lines of work - be it islamophobia or antisemitism cases. Is it the case that the nature of the job requires supreme confidence and self believe that can easily boil over into arrogance and God complexes? (Or in short, why are there so many tw*ts in politics?).

Agreed, if that spreadsheet is anything to go by, this seems to be disturbingly common in political circles for whatever reason. Certainly a culture of it that needs rooting out.

Whilst that was a quality piece of whatabouterry, it is of course spot on in highlighting the difference in how these cases were handled under Johnson's premiership versus under Starmer's. And agreed, I think it's important to reflect on how these events are handled with the talk of Johnson returning a General Election slowly edging nearer. Bad things are always going to happen - do we want our leaders to turn the other way or act decisively? Hopefully Tory members will think on this when electing their next leader (I'm not holding my breath though).
