If Johnson makes it to the 100 club. 19:58 - Oct 23 with 770 viewsBanksterDebtSlave

That would likely mean he would win so would you....
A. Sit back and watch the show.
B. Take to the streets and say there are some things for which we will not stand.
C. Take to the streets demanding an election after he has won.

I'm inclined to go with A which would damage their party most imho. With a likely sprinkling of C too. Bring on the woke wars!

The perfect scenario is that he is elected, then has to resign for misleading the house over partygate.

I’m not sure what planet they are on even considering Boris with the threat of this happening, or at the least partygate getting raked up all over again.

I agree that that would be amusing, but while he is PM he could do a lot of damage . I still have hopes that his team are talking bullish-t about him getting 100 initial votes. He and his “ people” do occasionally tell porkies.

A & C.

I hope Johnson wins. On balance, it’s most likely to get a change of government quickly, and he’s less likely to implement austerity 2.

oth, if he somehow gets to the election, he’s got the best chance of beating Labour.

As another poster says on here, they shouldn’t have got rid of him as he’s by far their best operator. Sunak is seriously unimpressive.

But I can’t see how he’ll get 100 nominations, so Sunak it will be.

Interesting perspective. Do you think he was a shambles first time around because second time will be a doozy.

By this logic, we should have stuck by Hurst, Lambert, Keane, Jewell, Cook....

I just can’t see how he’d get 100 so soon after the party chucked him out. They’re absolutely nuts, but know that the most likely outcome if they elect him is an election in a matter of months. Even Ipswich’s very own MP can work that out.

Yeah, I’d like to see him win because it would in all probability mean total Tory collapse. But the most likely outcome is Sunak winning, trying to force through austerity and then losing in 2024. Lab majority around 50 as Labour fails to really offer anything, but hey, at least we don’t have a Tory govt. which is about the extent of Starmer’s ambition.

Sunak will not need t try to force through' anything. Any budget will be backed as to not do so would mean a loss of confidence in their own deader - as a GE follows.

Yes. A labour government would sit on it's hand safe on a comfortable majority based on it not being the odious Tories. However in the real world there's plenty that will be done.

Much that could have been done by the Tories were they not in the grip of the swivel eyed ERG. There is common purpose across the progressive parties, Libdems, Greens , SNP, Plaid, not through lunatic idealogical nonsense, but a recognition that the NHS, schools, environment etc need probably funding

And it will come as the recognition that those who stand in the way are those who back measures that leave record numbers off sick through lack of treatment, vital services understaffed through lunatic beliefs and exporters crippled by red tape.

The real problems for the Tories will come in early 2023 when the swivel eyed try to take back control of the party.
