Where are the angry motorists? 08:54 - Nov 17 with 1449 viewsBent_double

Surely we should be seeing pictures of angry motorists remonstrating with the water, I mean people need to get to/from work, and the water is deliberately preventing them, right? Perhaps they should take buckets with them to scoop the annoying water away.

It's not as if this will happen more and more frequently as climate change makes things worse.

I agree with water but I can’t help but think that the water is targeting the wrong people.

2040:

If only we'd got up off our fat, complacent, hypocritical arses and supported protests about half-baked, complicit government policy by doing things like blocking a few roads a few decades ago, maybe there would still be transport infrastructure and reliable distribution.

I used to think I'd be OK, because we could make armies of the poor fill up sandbags to protect our roads and leisure facilities, but now I find that I am actually one of them, which I really didn't expect, and I don't have any leisure time left anyway as I struggle to survive.

This is strange; it's not at all what the Tories promised us, and I really can't understand why the tax breaks for international corporations didn't drive investment in Britain, and didn't trickle down even to me, let alone to those who used to be below me. Weird times.

If only the Nordic Model countries' borders were as permeable as ours used to be after Brexit, I'd try to paddle a raft across to Sweden, but I suppose the iceberg threat in the North Sea makes that unrealistic anyway.

They're all shouting at the people who are trying to warn us we urgently need to do something about climate change otherwise the likelihood of extreme events including flooding will increase, causing more disruption, ironically.

Why isn't the water targeting the oil companies and parliament? All this will achieve is getting people to not want to have anything to do with water.

It’s about time water gets a job - it’s the hypocrisy that I can’t stand - I bet it driven something once.

I read online that loads of water works in coal fired power stations and is an essential part of running oil-powered vehicles.

Water flies a lot too, and can often be seen in jets.
