Harness 14:14 - Nov 19 with 3062 views | Wickets | Cant disagree with TV giving him MOM but i was fooking annoyed with him giving away that soft free kick late on as that is the kind of thing that has cost us previously and it nearly did !
Harness on 14:18 - Nov 19 with 3010 views | Darth_Koont | Not sure. It was a mile out and Exeter were breaking through us. A freekick out there (and a chance for us to regroup behind the ball) was much less threatening than the break itself. So I think it was a good yellow for the team.

Harness on 14:23 - Nov 19 with 2954 views | clive_baker | You take the rough with the smooth with Harness. Out of possession he gets through so much work, fit as a butchers dog and presses so well from that number 10 position. Facing goal he’s dangerous, can finish, has scored some really vital goals for us this season already. At times he can frustrate, touch is often loose or his execution of a final ball. That said, if he did what he does and also looked after the ball like Morsy he wouldn’t be playing in L1. Agree re. that tug, I don’t think he needed to make the challenge, seemed a bit instinctive and sloppy.

Harness was easily our biggest attacking threat with the positions he takes up and his runs into the box. And he got through a sh!tton of good work off the ball too. He'd have been a candidate even without the match-winning goal and assist. So nah... no real contest for MOTM.

Well i saw it different we had two other players close and it was an easy distance to put the sort of ball into the box that has cost us before but there we go each to their own just glad we got the points .

Strange seeing your comments that you have up arrowed Clive Baker !
Harness on 14:39 - Nov 19 with 2755 views | BigCommon | Plenty of candidates out there today.. Harness and Burgess stood out for me.. Ladapo, Humphreys and JD all made a difference, too. Humphreys played a couple of really nice outballs, Evans style. He looks better and better each game.

For the top bit. I disagree with the last part but that's more an opinion about one moment in the game. FWIW it looked like we had 2 maybe 3 players on the wrong side of the ball when Stansfield broke forward.

I’ll have a look on the highlights tomorrow. For now, enjoying a great win and hope the teams in 1st and 3rd drop points….

It’s one of those that’s a good foul when nothing comes of it, but when Morsy does it at Charlton and they score from the resulting free kick, it halves a 2 goal lead and it’s squeaky bum time (which ultimately proved costly). On this occasion no harm done. Great win today.

Harness on 15:27 - Nov 19 with 2393 views | Kentish_Tractor | My biggest gripe with Harness is his consistency. He's capable of a great bit of skill, scoring a goal or grabbing an assist. Then 30 seconds later he'll completely fluff something up and will go missing for the next 20 minutes. In some games he's completely inneffective and will do nothing. I guess that's League One for you. If he was consistent he'd be in the Championship.

Yeah, I remember Pompey fans saying pretty much the same when we signed him and can see where they were coming from now. On his day he can be a game changer in this division, but frustratingly inconsistent even over a 10 minute spell.

Harness on 17:03 - Nov 19 with 2040 views | reusersfreekicks | He is a real enigma, mixture of sublime and awful. Not MOTM for me, was Burgess
Harness on 12:53 - Nov 20 with 1703 views | Sawtrich | And a lovely bit of pretending to adjust shinpad then bursting into space for the first goal. Surprised to see someone fall for it at professional level but it's a Sunday League tactic that usually works against someone that is unfit and hungover.

Indeed. Used to be that Chaplin and Burns getting shots away was our biggest threat and maybe that will return at some stage. But currently Harness popping up in the box looks to be our most dangerous weapon.

Harness our most dangerous weapon and not Ladapo who's scored 5 in his last 5? Harness did well yesterday, I thought other were ahead of him in terms of performance but you can't argue with a goal and an assist. Touch is frustrating at times but his workrate is excellent and people seem to ignore his and Chaplin's role in defending and stifling teams from the front when they're not scoring. Great to see Marcus back amongst the goals. Next up, Mr. Chaplin.

Chaplin was pretty unlucky not to come away with an assist yesterday but Harness did not quite manage to get enough on it but great that we did not have to wait long for the first goal .

Fair point re: Ladapo but I think he also benefits from Harness getting up in support. The assist yesterday of course but it helps him when he’s not as isolated and the CBs have someone else to watch out for.

Let me put it this way, if we picks up where he left off at the start of the season he'll be an extremely dangerous weapon. Hopefully he can go on a run now as he looked absolutely lethal at the start of the season. Right now I'd say Ladapo and Davis are the men to stop if you're an opposition manager, but we've got quite a nicely balanced arsenal of threats across the side.

Agreed. Davis is ridiculously good for this level. Remarkable that we have a left side now that’s outperforming the right side regularly. Partly due to defences trying to stifle the threat of Burns/Donacien I’m sure. But don’t remember that happening even once last season. The balance throughout the team (left to right, back to front) is just so much better this year with players like Davis, Ladapo and Harness added into the mix.

Doesn't that describe every good attacking player? Effective ones unlock things on a reasonably regular basis. If one attacking playing really fires one in 3 or 4 matches you likely score a few goals. You want more consistent results from defensive players.
