Loved the BBC interviewer earlier 22:31 - Nov 29 with 2499 views | FrimleyBlue | " Is that 2nd half the future of Wales.. " Considering the first half team drew 0-0 and the 2nd 0-3, I wouldn't be getting to excited about the future of Wales. It's interesting aswell how average the world cup makes certain players look.. Johnson.. sometimes unplayable in league football... has looked awful in this competition for example.

Loved the BBC interviewer earlier on 22:54 - Nov 29 with 2412 views | clive_baker | I think awful is a bit of an exaggeration. He’s played a total of about 1 game, half of which against a far, far superior England side where he didn’t have a sniff of the ball. Wales’ better players are ageing, Bale is way past his best and I don’t see a lot of quality coming through. We made a triple sub in which we brought on Liverpool regular and PL winner Trent A-A, Man City’s Phillips and Newcastle’s Wilson. At that point Sterling, Grealish, Mount, Saka & Trippier continued to sit on the bench. Wales’s subs were from Burnley & Portsmouth. I would say not a single one of those Welsh players would even get in our squad.

Davies would get in as we only have one fit left back. Moore possibly. They're the only two who I think would have a chance, though, and the former is only whilst the likes of James and Chilwell are out.

That’s fair. Davies probably actually, although I think Trippier is seen as cover on the left as much as the right. Moore I wouldn’t say so. Possibly at a real push, but again that would only be because Calvert-Lewin is injured. To think we’ve still got Abraham who doesn’t get many chances despite doing well at Roma. Toney wasn’t taken either despite being the 3rd top scorer in the premier league behind Haaland and Kane (although his alleged off the pitch antics might’ve been a factor in that decison).

He’s played less than half a season in the PL and bar the second half against the US the whole welsh team has played poorly all over the pitch. Given how small the pool of welsh players is, he’ll get his chance further down the line in qualification games etc and show what he can do.

Sorry but there is 0% chance Moore would make the England squad. I say this as somebody with Welsh blood in him. He's alright for Wales. But he is no where near as good as say a Toney, Calvert Lewin etc who didn't get a sniff.

Agree about the number of analysts. If the BBC reduced the number of analysts maybe they would not have to make BBC combine BBC Suffolk with BBC Norfolk etc.

Thats a bit harsh when you think that there are only seven englishmen who have scored more goals in the premier league this season. He wouldnt be first on the list, but in the event of an injury crisis up front hed have a shout.

I hate to think how much the ex-footballers are being paid plus expenses. The BBC seem to have a different team of pundits every match. No need. I stayed at an IBIS in Toulouse for the 1998 WC, where the BBC camera men and technicians were also staying. The presenters were staying at the most expensive hotel in the city centre, of course.
