Are we a dirty team? 15:42 - Dec 10 with 1164 views | GeoffSentence | Judging by the number of fouls given against us compared to the amount given for us you'd have to say we are. Yet it never feels that way when watching the game.

Are we a dirty team? on 15:46 - Dec 10 with 1120 views | StokieBlue | I think you can only begin to look at that question if there is a vast improvement in the standard and competency of the refereeing. It's more like we are suffering for being a "big club" with large home crowds and a sizeable and vocal away following and the part-time officials don't want to be accused of being inexperienced and easily swayed by the crowd so they go the other way and overcompensate towards the opposition. Some of the decisions that go against us are utterly perplexing. SB [Post edited 10 Dec 2022 15:47]

Are we a dirty team? on 15:46 - Dec 10 with 1114 views | FrimleyBlue | no, we do have a habit of silly fouls though, don't think it's much different from other clubs personally, but it's something i've noticed.

Are we a dirty team? on 16:55 - Dec 10 with 912 views | Pinewoodblue | Thin’ it depends where the fouls are committed. A lot of ours are in the attacking third.

Are we a dirty team? on 16:58 - Dec 10 with 897 views | wkj | Seems as were an attacking team, we will likely have a lot more fouls against teams who are set up for counter attacking footie. Counter attacking systems often draw a higher number of fouls

I've just seen todays stats on the BBC 13 fouls against us 5 for us, which does not seem like any sort of reflection of the relative approaches of the two teams. I reckon Stokie has it right, refs trying to prove that thy arent intimidated by big crowds.

Are we a dirty team? on 17:20 - Dec 10 with 797 views | Nthsuffolkblue | We are no longer the soft touch that we have been at times. However, there is a distinct feeling that the same foul against us often results in play on for the opposition or a yellow card for us. I am sure the unfair ones are the ones that we remember most In reality it is the lack of consistency that is the worst thing. Fortunately, we have been so much better than nearly all the sides we have played, that even with a few key decisions going against us we are still top of the pile. We need to remember that the same lack of consistency will be applied to other teams and just get on with our job whilst not worrying about those things beyond our control.

Think the Chaplin/Aluko foul was a prime example Chaplin bundled over by 2 players, no foul, aluko goes for ball, bundled over player... foul given in the space of about 6 seconds. You then have the burgess push goes unpunished, yet little jackson jumps for the ball and a foul given against him. .
