You're right about us having no excuse given the money spent, but while he is technically a Premier League player, he's only ever made 1 appearance in the division aged 24.
Everton seem to have a habit of offering long contracts to 20 year olds who fail to make the desired impact - Luke Garbutt and Matt Pennington were in a similar situation in that they were contracted to the club for a while even after it was obvious they were never going to make the grade. |  |

I don’t know anything much about him other than what I’ve read the last few days but we clearly think he can do a job for us if we are prepared to spend that sort of money.

Let's not forget, Mowbray was not the manager he played under at Sunderland, that was Alex Neill iirc. Maybe Mogga isn't interested? I am sure he would prefer Sunderland it's a huge club in a division above us. He probably prefer Barcelona to them too but they're most likely not in for him! He will go where the work is. If he gets 2 or more offers, it will be his choice. Sticking point is he has 18 months left on his contract so he might sit tight til the summer? |  |
