I feel really sorry for him tbh.
He was signed here as a last minute option, has looked a fair way from being the player we need, had players signed to put him even further from the team, and ended up back where he started.
I guess he's made a few quid out of it to soften the blow, but he'll have had a tough time over the last 3 or 4 months. |  |

Perhaps it relied on us finding a new home for Ndaba, that might have freed up a bit of budget for Burton to put towards Gassan.
I don't think this spells the end for the lad, I hope he has a great 2nd half of the season for them, chips in with some goals and comes back in the summer with his tail up. With Jackson looking less like a forward option by the day and Hirst only here on loan there still might be a chance for him to impress in a Town shirt. | |

He has a three year contract. He was obviously a bit of a punt. I don’t feel we have seen enough to write him off completely but appreciate others feel able to conclude he will not make it with us. I hope he does develop, I hope a) he becomes a valuable L1 asset and we can sell in a year or two, b) he comes back and helps us to promotion next year if we haven’t been promoted!
Meanwhile, he currently has more goals for itfc than Hirst in fewer minutes (that’s not fact checked). |  |

I think Burton ended up back on 6 loans at the end of the window with only 5 being allowed in a match day squad. I hope the loan deal includes a clause that ups the % of wages they have to contribute if he doesn't get enough minutes. They've only been playing 1 up front in recent games. | |
