January business and rivals; Camara pushing on 10:55 - Apr 9 with 2173 views | unstableblue | Lots of talk on Owlstalk of their lack of January business killing them… and the fact they had such an amazing January in terms of performance and result, made them complacent, and perhaps Moore didn’t want to upset squad cohesion (Remember all the b@llsh!t that Mick didn’t get backed in the play-off season, when in reality he chose not to use Evans offered funds, again a concern on squad cohesion) Ourselves and Plymouth went on a binge - Plymouth as loanees went back, etc. Us as central midfield had imploded and goals were running dry due in part to Harness and Burns form. Don’t get me wrong Weds season is far from over they have a much easier run in… and 6 points is on the table from Accrington and Burton whereas we have banana skins of Cheltenham and Charlton. All it takes is a switch in momentum, for our fans to go all Bristol Rovers again!! But our depth of squad is now frightening - resting four attackers on 70mins. Leigh seamlessly backing up Davis. Ball fit to support Lunongo and Morsy. Harness looking sharp again. And just think one of our biggest recent signings Camara.. the intended Luongo… is back fit and training and not even getting a sniff. Good on McKenna… he saw the potential weakness and brought in great signings… 3 of whom have room to be a part of a championship side Now let’s stay humble, stay frosty… 5 wins and a draw from 7…. WE CAN DO THIS… if we all stick together… don’t get ahead of ourselves

Quite an odd opinion if they had actually been paying attention. I'm still not convinced they are out of the race but you have to fancy Town heavily being second with a game in hand.

Much is going to hinge on tomorrow. Pressure is really ratcheting up on Barnsley and Wednesday at the moment given their recent wobbles. But one thing about Darren Moore, he loves a bit of pressure, he'll get them playing again, the question is, will they get going again soon enough?

Our recruitment in January has been pretty much perfect

They’ve only lost twice at home in the last 7 months and showed Barnsley on Friday that they’re no mugs. [Post edited 9 Apr 2023 12:01]

When you talk about pressure. You'd have to say, that we've played every single one of our games, since SW at home, under real pressure. Just to stay in touch with top two. One or two bad results in our last 10 games, and the table would look very different. It's not just the points we've accrued. It's the pressure we've put on SW Who don't look like they can handle it...I can't see them winning 5 from 6, atm. Which is what they'll need, imo. Not saying we'll be perfect til end of season.. But we don't have to be..Weve got six games, to match their points total from their 5 games... Just to reiterate, we've already been playing under extreme pressure for a good couple of months. We have the mental strengths, the fitness, the squad depth, the tactical nous and of course the Blue Army as a 12th man. Big difference having an army of supporters that are buzzing with positive energy and belief. Compared to a stadium full of nervy, edgy fans that feel like a lead weight round your neck. It's all set. We've just got to stick together and help the lads fly straight, for another 6 matches. One at a time.

Just so you know BC, we have 7 games left and Wednesday have 6. Wouldn't want you to miss one!
