Reading the Sheff Wednesday fans thoughts about the ref change 09:16 - Apr 15 with 1270 views | billabasblue | Is somewhat comical , it seems to have really angered them that the ref has been changed . The reality is the FA should never have appointed him in the first place whilst he most likely would have been impartial and fair the second it became public knowledge he was in a untenable position where every single iffy decision would have been u see the microscope so he had to be taken out of the firing line but as I say should never have been announced in the first place. I wonder if Sheffield Wednesday or Plymouth fans would like an Ipswich supporting ref for their games with so much riding on it ? If it was august/September then fine as nobody knows who will be challenging at that stage but with just 6 games to go and the top 3 being the same all season long it is ridiculous. The Sheffield fans seem to be bitter about their lunatic defender getting a retrospective ban for quite clearly elbowing Burns, they should count themselves so lucky that he wasn’t sent off during the game as the result would most likely have been different and couple that with the quite clearly off side goal they stole against us at their place they should pipe down a little !
Reading the Sheff Wednesday fans thoughts about the ref change on 09:21 - Apr 15 with 1236 views | tractordownsouth | It does seem bizarre that a few Wednesday fans are claiming that the old ref would've overcompensated and given us an advantage but are also annoyed that he's been swapped. Surely they should be happy at that?

They're now saying that the guy who's replacing the original is a barnsley fan, and are hoping he gives charlton two pens! 😂

Easily dismissed as BS as he has taken charge of a couple of Barnsley matches this season. Sadly conspiracies have dominated over facts these past couple of days. There are three more weeks left of this in the league season.

If you read Phil's preview of the game, the new ref has already given 2 pens against us (in the 3 games of ours that he's reffed) He's also booked Morsy in 2 out of the 3 games too...

McK seems to be the one speaking the most sense about this: “The PGMOL have done what they think is right and made the change and it’ll be another experienced referee coming and hopefully they will get more decisions right and do their best, which I’m sure they will.”

I said on another thread that the ref change made me uneasy, & that I'm sure KM will stress to the players even more than usual that they need to keep discipline & cool heads.

One of their more sensible members has just pointed that out, but as you say, most of them seem to be conspiracy theorists who are allergic to any facts. At least most of the Argyle fans who've been on here recently showed a bit of class & dignity, unlike 90% of the owls on those threads. Never had any problem with them before whether in person or on the net, but they're really embarrassing themselves now.
