Thank you Ipswich 22:05 - Apr 20 with 2368 views | lizzibee | I'm on a high having got my Fleetwood tickets so here goes. I've supported Ipswich since year dot (first game Coventry home 1985 - the Butcher head wound game ) but this year has been the most important to me. Ive gone to the play off final (don't remember it as was slightly drunk), Milan, dussledorf etc so a loyal fan. The ex left me on the first game this season, FGR away was when I came back to an empty house. That aside. I'm not a confident person but this season I have been to virtually all away games, several with my lad and several on my own. As a result I have met many amazing people who I now class as friends and I now feel able to travel on my own.Never would have done that before This is mainly due to them playing brilliantly - if they were rubbish I probably would not have invested the time or money. So, Ipswich have this year helped me significantly with my mental health, built new friendships and got me through some tough times. We have a great community and I thank that - this forum included. Handy we have done well :-)

Thank you Ipswich on 06:45 - Apr 21 with 2008 views | ITFC_Forever | Minor pedant point…. First game was home to Bolton a week earlier… But it’s good to hear how the club and the fans have helped…. Over the years, they’ve been the one constant when things away from ITFC haven’t been great, so I can understand where you’re coming from.

I read it as he left her at the time of the first game of the season and then FGR was the first time she came back to an empty house, not that it matters.

Thank you Ipswich on 10:19 - Apr 21 with 1770 views | SamWhiteUK | This post resonated with me as someone else who became single during this season out of a long-term relationship. I, too, am so grateful to ITFC and everyone around the club for giving me something to cheer about this year 💙

Love this! I think between us all bases could be covered on wedding. Could even hold it at Portman Road!

I was thinking during the season - half time, then we have ready made guests and the food and drink facilities are open! A win win.

I wish I was that young! had my milk crate in Churchman's. I remember it so well as Butcher was a haemopheliac and the amount of blood was crazy. It was my first year back after living in Germany and boarding so didn't get to football games before then, but been hooked since.
