Tonight - Biggest game since 2015? 12:13 - Apr 25 with 1532 viewschicoazul

Arguably bigger? Maybe *the* biggest single one-off game in the club’s history? Certainly the biggest club game of anyone involved’s career, or was Broadhead at Wembley with Sunderland..?
Anyway. Yes. The end of the beginning is in sight. Good luck to all.

Just as 'New Labour' apparently does not count as being a real iteration of the party (despite being the only time that party won a majority of more than a handful since England won the world cup), anything good that happened under Mick McCarthy is to be conveniently forgotten.

That was a bigger game - it was do or die. Tonight we can lose and still go up - so it is important and exciting, but if we don’t win we can still achieve our season’s objectives

Doesn’t feel that way though…

No - we were two games away from the Premier League in 2015.

You’re right I was thinking of 2015 not 13! I’m old and time confuses me. I’ll edit the OP.
FWIW I think tonight and perhaps our next couple of games are more important as I believe we will face a full on existential crisis if we don’t go up this year.

I'd suggest Aston Villa in 1962 was bigger.

I mean posters who weren't before.

It's just another game tonight. Exeter is the bigger game. Then possibly Fleetwood depending on other results.

Not really. There is an argument that the club has a better and brighter long term plan, a surge in momentum and potentially a higher ceiling in the next 5 years, so to get to Championship this season is vital giving the circumstances. That MM team had an awful lot of aging and mid level championship players but if we went up the money would have been huge and we would have had brought an entire new squad.

In terms of overall project this is maybe bigger but the Norwich games in isolation were the biggest games for us in the last decade. As stated we were 2 games away from getting to the promised land which is ultimately the goal of game changer anyway.

I guess but it’s the biggest hurdle and being 2 points away from promotion against Exeter and Fleetwood shouldn’t really be an issue. Lose tonight and pressure is back on somewhat, win and you have more than one foot in the Championship.

It’s not just another game though bubalah
If we win we are 2/3 there and frankly it would be very unlikely for us to blow it then.

Err, FA Cup Final
2 X FA Cup Semi finals
League Cup Semi Final 1st & 2nd Legs
UEFA Cup Final 1st & 2nd Legs
2015 Play Off semi finals
2000 Play Off Final
etc etc

So yes its a big game given our recent history but not in the history of the Club.
It is Div 3 after all.

You missed the "since 2015" bit in the title.

It's one of those where it's bigness depends on the result. If we win then it's pretty huge, more or less guarantees auto promotion or at the very least gives us a lot of leeway to achieve auto promotion over our last two games. If we lose or draw it's less significant, promotion is still in our hands but we've got more of a challenge to get there.

I’d argue Saturday was bigger than tonight. Not to mention the play off final in 2000, the first leg of the UEFA Cup final in 1981, the FA Cup final in 1978…

If we’re talking about regular league games then, as said, Aston Villa on the final day of 1962.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
