Plymouth and Ipswich not on Sky ? 11:08 - May 4 with 2971 viewsPippin1970

Thought the winners of the title be more important games than play off potential games.

Nah, the promotion race is more exciting.

Plus Plymouth at Port Vale or us at Fleetwood doesn't have the TV appeal of a probable Sheffield Wednesday vs Derby encounter.

Much more jeopardy involved in the playoff games. Whatever happens, Town and Plymouth will be Championship clubs next year whereas there's much more riding on this weekend for Derby and Peterborough.

It's about viewing figures.

Sheff Wed, Derby and Barnsley will get them significant viewing numbers.

We would as well obviously but when you look at the four teams versus the four teams there is no comparison really.

If it was chosen on what is most interesting it should have been Plymouth and Derby games as they are the two likely to achieve their aim.

With that said, I have this feeling Port Vale are going to go 1-0 up, then Plymouth equalise between 55th and 65th minute but they can't find the winner.

Truly impaired.

And we'll be 0-0 going into injury time... Walton comes up for a last-minute corner...

Also, Sky only had two picks left for Leagues One and Two. By choosing Tranmere v Northampton, they only had one pick from League One, so couldn’t show both Plymouth and Ipswich. In that sense, it makes more sense to go for a match which has something more tangible riding on it.

But they are showing both Derby and Peterborough games.

One on Arena, one on Main Event.

Am I being stupid but League 1 and 2 are on different days?

Us and Ply mouth is done with . Just shows how meaningless the “ title “ in League zone really is in my view. It’s the icing on the cake but that’s all. It’s what happens next season now. The REAL job was to get promoted: ☑️

They’re showing Peterborough now? Before it was just Wednesday v Derby.

Still, more jeopardy involved in the Derby and Peterborough games plus, because of the teams involved, more likely to pull in an audience.

I personally think Sky have been sh*te at putting Division One games on. Especially when a club like Town have broken all records for goals scored, goals against, passes etc, etc and apparently their form has been the best anywhere. I think those that put football on our screens have a cheek. They continue to charge more and more whilst showing less and less. It is not competition when you have to have three or four suppliers showing different matches. it is only competition when they all show the same matches and one charges less than another. But unfortunately as with everything in this Country those that oversee sport, utilities or whatever bury their heads in the sand and as long as there are people prepared to pay their rip off prices and no one does anything about it the longer it will continue.

Two league one and two league two.

Not sure where you saw the only two games left thing but it would make zero sense. Sky don't pay for these rights to leave themselves short at the end of the season.
