Joint ownership fine but no majority either way.

I think the term is being used in the sense of having a majority of the shares and hence having a controlling interest. They no longer have a majority of the shares.

They are getting quite old now, so this looks like sensible, orderly, succession planning to me.

It would have been more in our interests if they had kept majority ownership and control and made increasingly out of touch decisions.

I don't know anything about Attanasio, though. Let's hope he is incredibly Impatient with managers.
