I thought his save from the free kick was particularly good as he was just about to move across the goal but still managed to get down and smother it. He really is looking assured now.

However, if that's what the defence expect you to do then it's not an issue. You want your goalkeeper to be predictable with what they do. I think he's been phenomenal since he's been in. His footwork is like Neuer at times (not quite at Ederson's level!).

This is absolutely true. I was one who felt Walton should walk straight back in but McKenna has absolutely made the right call without any question.

I also love his black boots and gloves combination!

Hladky on 22:21 - Oct 25 with 1806 views | NthQldITFC | He's really got his confidence now, and is barking at defenders a bit too, which is really good to see. Thoroughly deserving all of the plaudits he's getting. It's not just his footwork, or his shot stopping, or his handling - all of those excellent again tonight - it's his anticipation and aggressive, confident positioning which was outstanding tonight. He must be communicating really well with the defence. That one near the end where he took the ball off Williams? outside the box near the corner flag late in the game and had the vision and confidence in himself and the team to play the short pass between strikers was absolutely marvellous.

Loved the way he came way out by the corner flag to give Brandon Williams an option when he’d worked his way into a corner, and then just played the first time pass out when it went back to him. Hard to believe he’s the same keeper that struggled so much when he first came to the club. I’ve criticised him before but he’s more than proved himself of late, we’re lucky to have him.

A Paul Cook signing that has turned out well. That guy seemed to be able to spot decent players. Sadly he wasn’t able to get them to play together. Thankfully KM has and has been able to build so well on what he inherited.

I thought his save in the first half where he tipped it over with his top hand was a very decent stop. One thing that is extremely good for us is I doubt that any other club in this league has two keepers at that level. Whomever plays we know we are in safe hands….literally! Completely agree. For all the stick Cook gets, he was correct in what he did with the squad, although he could’ve handled it slightly better and he bought some good players into our club. Let’s face it we needed that to happen. He’s doing a good job at Chesterfield too, they are flying.
