It does raise a good question about why people associate themselves with 'their' football club at things which are totally unrelated.
The replies saying the march was about patriotism or two tier policing etc sort of highlight this quite well I guess. Tribalism converging from different sectors doesn't actually make a lot of sense does it?
I remember at one of those marches a joint flag of Millwall and West Ham being held between the two sets of fans with something pathetic like ‘United in taking back our London’. Just incredibly cringy and outright embarrassing
Those on the racist march will be the first to complain about 'keeping politics and football separate' when it's things like taking the knee, but are happy to drag their teams name through the mud at marches like this.

They're still about but the "Democratic" Football Lads Alliance apparently. I didn't realise the founder owned a business based in Ipswich either side of two in London. Think him having to step down over where the money went saw them splinter not disappear.
