His paddle boarding isn't up to much either.
Ed Davey.... on 17:55 - Jun 6 with 1209 views | Illinoisblue | Seems a thoroughly decent human. Too good for the world of politics where dimwitted charlatans like Hunt and Hancock can rise to positions they’re not remotely qualified for.

He (allegedly) pretended to be bad on purpose. You couldn’t make it up. Hopeless hopeless politician. Plus he also had a very active role in government as the minister responsible for part of it during the post office scandal….that he managed to forget about until somebody reminded him….. And therein lies the problem. The system rewards people who are good at the game of politics, but they don't necessarily make good leaders. Parties can can put people in place to help with the political strategies, wheeling and dealing in Westminster, electioneering, etc. I'd rather a leader who is a decent person and provides the moral compass for the party than someone who can outsmart their rivals or who lies to the nation to further their own career.

Oh I don’t know. His fingerprints, among many others, are all over the Post Office scandle!

He was only small cog in a very big machine of lies. Many of the politicians involved should have asked more questions but didn't: we are not in a position to know why. Personally I'd rather have him than a hedge fund owner who profitted from the biggest financial meltdown in two generations.

As ghe legendary diarist John Crace wrote yesterday... if Sunak had been around for D-Day, he'd have been in a basement, shorting the German stock market.
