Back in the late '90s we couldn't get into the Cobbold for a home match against QPR so I went in (with my son) through the away turnstile. It was a balls ache not being able to celebrate our goals, but that was a result of being in with the more passionate away support. I would hope that there was a more generally just interested type of home support at Wimbledon, other clubs supporters might turn up just to get a squint at England international Phillips for example. You are not the first to mention this idea on the forum so you might even be able to seek out other Town support, but if you do I suggest behaving and getting on with the home support around you, if only to prevent being ejected by stewards. But also think of the reputation of the club.

Oh I would definitely behave, and not be waving my colours or anything.
I watched the 'Battle of Highbury' 4-3 game from Arsenal's East Stand - you lot won't remember, but there was a 21 player fight at the end and fines all round after. Very emotional game which Arse won right at the end - we'd let our affiliations show in excitement - when they scored their winner, we mist have had a 100-odd people around us jeering in our faces. The old Arse East stand was normally pretty staid, but not that night - was almost glad they won by the end of it.
Anyway, cool story bro.
1989?! Gawd, I'm almost as old as Factual.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa
Been in the home end at Norwich, Leeds, Liverpool, West Ham and Forrest.
Only time I ever got rumbled was Forrest when we got a consolation goal, think we were 4 or 5 down at the time - and I thought fck it - and cheered.
Wouldn't wear colours and would keep schtum and you'll be fine. Gob off and expect a reaction - which is unlikely to be friendly if the Town are winning.

Ian St John (now we're going back a few years!) remarked about the Arsenal/Norwich "brawl" at the end that he'd seen worse "scuffles" in the January sales!
Made I larf!

I was in the home end for the Leicester game in January; Sarmiento's late equaliser was the weirdest feeling I've had watching football.
Lots of extremely angry Leicester fans all around me; I had to 'celebrate' by furiously tapping my foot and staring at the roof.
Not helped, at all, by 3,000 Towun directly opposite me going *absolutely* crackers.
I wouldn't recommend it.
Well I get your point.
But it's a Carabou Cup 2nd round game - there's only so much excitement it's going to generate, win or lose. Not as much at stake as that game v Leicester.
Mainly keen to get a first look at some of our new names - or maybe a last farewell to some old ones!
It's reltively easy not to celebrate when you score, compared to what I think is the real giveaway - how to react when you concede.. I've never been challenged, but if I am ever asked why I'm not celebrating a home goal I'll just say I'm a neutral attempting the 92 so not fussed about who wins.

My first would have been at Stoke in 1980. I was with my Stokie mate. Mariner scored the winner. Very hard to keep shtoom.
My brother was sitting with his West Ham supporting inlaws when Lee Bowyer scored our last minute winner at Upton Park, had the braying hounds right in his face (not the inlaws, they were doing their best on the damage limitation, other Hammers fans.) He was able to sit there quietly smiling away and not ostensibly celebrating at all, which must have infuriated them even more.
