Is everyone feeling a bit nervy about Saturday? 13:26 - Oct 17 with 3247 views | FrimleyBlue | Forum looks a lot quieter this season on the run upto games compared to previous, 2 days before kick off and barely a thread about the upcoming match. What's all your predictions? Im going for Towns first win, a 2-1 victory, Delap and Greaves as scorers.

Is everyone feeling a bit nervy about Saturday? on 13:49 - Oct 17 with 2636 views | baxterbasics | What bugs me is our most disappointing performances have come V the two opponents we might have expected to do better against, WHAM and SOU. Against the superior teams we have almost held our own, or at least made a good fist of it. KM will be working hard on how to get the better of Everton, no doubt, I want that win so bad.

Is everyone feeling a bit nervy about Saturday? on 13:51 - Oct 17 with 2626 views | _clive_baker_ | Everton can score goals, we've shown at times this season we can let them in a bit softly. However we're capable of causing them some problems. Got both teams to score written all over it, I can see it being like one of the silly home games last season, Leeds or Blackburn style. Head says we'll either win or lose by a goal, 3-2 maybe. Can't call which way.

I want to get that monkey off the back that has so far eluded us. If we don't win not a lot I can do about it. I want to enjoy the ride of the prem so don't want to put unnecessary pressure on and raise expectations so tying to be pragmatic about it.

There are no "must wins" in October. 3-1 Delap, Hutch and Chappers in the last minute.

this is a big problem which conerns me too. i'm not sure why, do we try and have a go and that leaves us vulnerable. I didn't really see that happen though. Maybe the pressure just got to us. There was no pressure vs Liveprool or City, and to some extend Brighton, so it was a see what we can do

100% Help. I find myself way less nervous this season compared to last, even at an early stage of the campaign. What will be will be, enjoy being at a packed PR in the Premier league again, couple of beers, shout a lot, good times. Enjoying us having a top young manager and a group of committed players who are giving their all. If we win games and stay up that's great, if not it wont be for a lack of effort. Either way I'm just intent on enjoying it, life's too short not to.

Too early to be a trend, we're really talking about 1 really poor performance at West Ham which happens. Otherwise we've earned good away points at Brighton and Southampton, and given as good as we've got against Fulham and Villa where we've taken points. We've shown we can compete at this level as disappointing as the west ham game was. I think that 1st win will be a bit of a monkey off our backs and here's hoping it comes on Satdee.

Definitely can't lose these games, but the more I think about it, we really need 2 wins from these. Two of the poorer teams at home need to be wins. If it's going to be a win and a draw, I think a win Saturday will be better, just for a boost!

Is Brexit Ball where you deliberately concede 5 own goals, lose 5-0 but claim that actually you've won? [Post edited 17 Oct 2024 15:48]

Is everyone feeling a bit nervy about Saturday? on 15:58 - Oct 17 with 1945 views | TheBlueGnu | I'm going for a 1-0 Towen goal, with the goal being as a result of a brilliant through-ball from Nicholas Bond-Owen to Geoffrey Whitehead, who beats Pickford with a sublime chipped finish. We all then go straight down to The Whispering Hoatzin public house in Burgh for a huge knees-up.

No. Brexit ball is when you are the popular choice with the much better team. But the officials support the opposition and disallow everything you try to do.

When you claim freedom from FA Laws that weren't actually FA Laws in the first place, and so you try to remove yourself from the Laws of Physics as you claim they were holding you back from plummeting disastrously towards the abyss?
