As harsh as it might be it would make sense that this is being held back by Villa themselves due to them finalising their own signing. I’m guessing the deal is more than likely done in principle but yeah hopefully perhaps waiting on a loose end with the new guys going into Villa from Dortmund was it ?

We've, apparently, agreed a £22m deal for Philogene, but the delay for Villa seems to be that they haven't agreed a fee yet for Malen, who they obviously think is a better player, and now have upped their bid to ... £21m.
