Top tip for anyone thinking of using the back roads to avoid traffic problems 08:42 - Jan 14 with 1522 viewsGeoffSentence

ths morning.

Don't. They are all snarled up as well, with traffic trying to squeeze through single lane country roads both ways.

Take the biggest, widest loop that you can to get around it instead.

Accident on the A12 between Copdock and Capel has completely closed the road, with all the traffic backing up on the A14 and Ipswich.

Lorry load of rubble, I think.

It's oddly, made the road flatter.

Amazing how just one road being closed can completely throw local life isn’t it. New Year landslip at old Blubberhouses trouble spot on the A59 here in Yorks adding hours of detour to journeys, particularly when side roads hadn’t been cleared of snow.

There have been several secondary accidents, I reckon people are driving into each other in the traffic.

Looks like it is mostly cleared now, though the A12 is still closed southbound and the a12 north is still queuing back to Capel. Although thats not unusual.

There were plans to upgrade the Copdock Mill Interchange, supposedly starting in 2023 but that seems to have gone quiet now.
