Think Davis has always been over-rated as a defender to be honest.

Good going forward but at the top level he is often found out defensively.

That's why he hasn't been called up for England, he's at best top end Championship / lower PL player defensively, it's only his set pieces and attacking threat that make him anything more.

I guess the xG is worked out from the position Gakpo has the ball in rather than the position they were in once he has played it? Is it that they don't have to create many decent chances or that the opposition does create things out of nothing? Probably a bit of both, I expect.
