Bit harsh on the groundsman. They're doing their best.

Missed 3 goals today but was bloody cold and managed to get an earlier train back to Diss and was home in Stoke Ash by 5-35. Usually stay and watch until the end. Today, the frustration of our schoolboy defending got the better of me. Uppa Town
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

....there was a rogue stripe of grass about a meter wide, half the length of the pitch in front of the away fans. A totally different colour to the rest of the pitch. Looked like it had been cut with a Flymo.

I left on 85 mins today on 20:33 - Mar 15 with 1384 views | SaffronWaldenBlues | I left after their 4th, with the away fans behind me absolutely laughing their way through the game and hearing that we wouldn’t beat their kids, Ipswich are tinpot, never be back in this league again and so on I had heard enough pss taking. It’s amazing they’ve forgotten they cheated the rules to stay up, got a light punishment and are now reaping the rewards for cheating, while we played by the rules and are relegated with ease.

I’m torn on that one really. Yes, their spending splurge when they came up was utterly bewildering and clearly done with the hope the investment could survive the points deduction. 20 new players for a fee (£170m) and 6 frees transfers. A lot of it was expensive dross. Dennis, Shelvey, Biancome, Freuler, Hwang, Lingard, Felipe, Richards, Danilo, Lodi.. Best part of £80m that amounted to nothing. Wood, Gibbs White, Awomiyi, Williams (£70m in total) are the only ones from that initial splurge that get regular game time now. But, when you consider the dodgy expenditure and fiddles that Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea get up to, something about the fact they’re clear of all of those feckers, who just have better lawyers, sort of pleases me. Quite like Nuno as well.
